So, my experience with two minutes of pitching my shirts on a radio show has led me to try running some ads on the local Air America radio station here in DC, AM 1050. 10 days ago I made a call into the Ed Schultz radio show, for a segment he calls “recession buster Friday”. For an hour, he simply takes calls from small businesses around the country and gives them a couple minutes of free air time. From that one segment, I got a huge number of calls and emails about t-shirt printing, and have since printed up shirts for several different very cool groups and companies. It’s certainly convinced me of the value of radio advertising.
