Q: How does this pricing work? Why only three price breaks?   back to top
A: By doing a weekly scheduled run where we have cut down the printing options to a bare minimum, we are able to provide low-quantity printing at a high-quantity price-break because we are processing all the orders for the week in one batch. So we combine your order with dozens of others to cut down on up-front costs. The flip-side of this is, though, that the cost of printing high amounts of the same design does not go down significantly. If you want to order 100 or more of the same design and can wait two weeks for delivery, you can get a better high-volume discount through our full-service site, where you will also have many more options for colors of shirts and inks.
   
Q: Do you charge sales tax?   back to top
A:
We charge 5% sales tax on orders shipped to a Virginia address.
   
Q: With these prices, how good are your shirts?   back to top
A: Our shirts are high-quality, heavyweight, 6.1 oz 100% cotton, either Gildan 2000, Hanes Beefy-Tee or equivalent. We keep costs down on this special run by only offering three colors of shirts, to get bigger volume discounts, to provide you high-quality at a better price.
   
Q: Do you guarantee your work?   back to top
A:

We guarantee that your product will look like what you designed online (see info below about artwork on shirts and monitor color calibration) and the shirts will be free of defects, or we will refund your money.

If after receiving your order you feel a refund is due, you must contact us within 24 hours of delivery, via both email and phone to ensure your refund.

   
Q: What does it mean to save a design?   back to top
A:
When you save a design, it enables you to log back in later and make changes to it. This can either allow you to show the design to others before placing your order, or else to come back to the site and re-order the same design later without re-creating it. Saving does not obligate you to order.
   

Art
Q: What file formats do you accept?   back to top
A:
The best format is a high-quality PNG (save as PNG-24), because you can save the file with transparency to see it properly overlaid on your shirt. A high-quality jpeg is also good. We also accept gif files, but make sure your files are high-resolution if using gifs.
   
Q: Is the shirt print going to look exactly like my artwork does on my screen or a printout?   back to top
A:
No. Printing on textiles is of a lower resolution than ink on paper.  While the color and image quality are good, they are not as crisp or detailed as a photograph.  Textiles are printed at 55 lpi whereas color pictures can print at upwards of 200 lpi.
 
Refunds are not given because an image on a shirt doesn't equal the print quality of a photo. 
   
Q: How do I prepare my artwork for printing on dark color shirts?   back to top
A:
If you have created your own artwork to upload, and want to print with white, red or blue ink(s) on darker colored shirts, simply set up your file with a black background color, with your image in the colors in which you want it to print. We don't yet have a "remove black" function, but you will be able to place the art on your shirt, and at least have a pretty good preview of it. When you upload your art, be sure to choose the right category (1, 2 or 3 colors--don't count the black background as a color, just those you want printed), and once the art is placed on the shirt you can use the color tabs on the right side of the design module to assign the actual ink colors you want. It will not alter the appearance of your uploaded artwork on the preview shirt, but it will make sure we know the correct colors for printing. Once your order is placed, we will review your design, and send you a revised mock-up with the black background removed for your final approval before we print it.
   
Q: Do you offer design services, if my art needs cleanup or I don't want to create something myself?   back to top
A:
Our artists can clean up your rough layouts, or create artwork for you from scratch. Our rate is $25/half-hour, with a $25 minimum.
   

Ordering
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?   back to top
A:
Online payment is handled through Paypal.  You may also make payment over the phone using Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.  Orders are processed securely using Secure Socket Layer Technology.  Purchase Orders (P.O.'s) are accepted but are reserved for qualified organizations such as schools, government agencies and large corporations.  Purchase Orders must be verified and therefore can only be placed by phone.
   
Q: Can I purchase multiple items with the same imprint?   back to top
A:
You can place your design on more than one colors shirt (for example, a white imprint on red shirts and black shirts), but due to our already-low pricing, you would still need to order at least 12 of each color shirt. Once you have saved a design, you can recall it and change the color of the garment. (Note, since the pricing doesn't change, you could also take the same design and change the ink colors for a different color shirt, and get the same rate on the second dozen shirts. Most places would charge $25 for ink changes.)
   
Q: Do you allow changes to an order?   back to top
A:

Once placed, an order is final and can not be changed. This policy exists because of workflow issues involving textile stock, screen supplies, and scheduling press time. 

Please make sure your order is exactly the way you want it before ordering.

   
Q: Can I add different designs to the same order?   back to top
A:
Yes, but each design makes up a separate 12-shirt minimum.
   
Q: Can I cancel my order?   back to top
A:
No. Cancellations are not allowed due to the speed with which work begins. Work concerning screens, artwork, and textiles begins upon placement of an order. Once placed, an order is final.
   

Screenprinting
Q: What are the printing areas and sizes?   back to top
A:
For this special service, the maximum printing area is 10" wide by 12" high, which fits on front or back of both adult and youth sizes. The allowable print area is shown on the shirt by a dashed outline. If you place your design outside this area, it will be reduced down to fit inside it.
   
Q: How many colors can you print?   back to top
A:
The maximum number of colors for this special service is 3 per side.
   

Shipping
Q: How does your company ship?   back to top
A:

For orders within five miles of Alexandria, VA, we offer free delivery with our own vehicles. If you are in this area, please specify in the note area when you checkout that you want local delivery, and make sure we have a phone number that will allow us to contact someone at the delivery location.

Currently for all other orders, we ship exclusively with UPS. We ship from Alexandria, Virginia.

NOTE: We are not responsible for delays in delivery by UPS for reasons of their choosing (e.g. adverse weather conditions). Refunds will not be offered if UPS does not meet their delivery responsiblities.

Orders shipped to APO/FPO addresses go via the U.S. Post Office. We track shipping up to the APO/FPO address. After that, all responsibility for delivery and tracking is transferred to the military. We are not responsible for, and have no way of tracking packages once they are in the APO/FPO system.

   
Q: What is the delivery time?   back to top
A:

Starting Monday at noon, orders which came in the previous week will be printed in the same order in which they were placed, and will be shipped out once per day beginning on Tuesday. Thus, your order may be shipped as early as Tuesday if you placed it early the previous week, but we guarantee all orders will be shipped out or delivered (for local orders) no later than the following Monday. Your delivery date will depend on which shipping options you choose. (For example, UPS ground usually takes one day to Baltimore from our location, but five days to Seattle.)

If there are problems or questions with your order, incomplete information, an art recommendation, etc., we will contact you by e-mail.  We will *not* be able to continue production until you respond.  Please do so promptly, since this could cause a delay in your order.  Delivery times to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada vary.  Please check with UPS for exact delivery times to your address.

NOTE:  We are not responsible for delays in delivery by UPS for reasons of their choosing (e.g. adverse weather conditions).  Refunds will not be offered if UPS does not meet their delivery responsibilities.
